Is it possible to mod into GWX the "dead" period that would have occured after a torp or D/C detonation when all hydrophones and sonars, both the player's and the AI, would have been useless. How long the effect lasted for I don't know, but 10-20 seconds seems reasonable. If it can be done, it would certainly add to game play.

This seems to be the Holy Grail of SH3 modding.
Many modders have attempted to make this work but all of them have hit a brick wall at some point (try the search engine and you'll see what I mean). It is possible to do, but there are so many major knock on effects to other parts of gameplay that it's not worth while.
