Further to the release of this, I can confirm that I have it running perfectly on my system with vista, GeForce 7900 GS, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.4GHz, Memory: 2046MB RAM, Display Memory: 520 MB.

Before loading 2.1 I had 2.0 running fine too, and just removed all updates with JGSME before loading 2.1 (no complete remove and reload of the game).

One issue that seems to appear on my system is that when receiving radio messages, and I am playing as U99, the messages often seem to come from me to me!, ie from U99 to U99 and BDU.

Does anyone else have this?

Many thanks once again to the developers for this much appreciated addition- it is stunning.

The messages in GWX are actual historical messages and are there only to add to the experience. There are loads of (actual historical) messages from other boats as well indicating sinking and convoy reports.

If you think seeing messages sent from you to you wait until you get a message that you're sunk (in the case of U99 at some point in Early 1941) :o ;) That is creepy :yep:

I hope this helps. If you need more help just give us a shout

Hello again

One further question if I may- one receives messages from other boats referring to activity in a square such as AM 4577.

I can see squares such as AM 97 etc, so what does the 4577 mean please?

Thanks:up:

The kriegsmarine grids are sliced into smaller parts, like your telephone keys. So AM4577 would be first of all the big grid AM45, then imagine where 7 is in your telephone on that grid and then finally the last digit, 7, where that would be on that grid.

Here's a pic of AM4577 to show how it would be "sliced":

Lol, and here's finally the Uboat.net's article explaining it:
