Yes, you wrong. In 22.06.1941 in soviet navy have 3 battleships (Marat class) + 6 battleships in building (4 Sovetsky Souz class + 2 Kronshtadt class), 1 heavy cruiser in building (Petropavlovsk) (used in WWII as floating battery) + many light cruisers in fleet and in builbing in various werfts + 1 training cruiser (Avrora). Few soviet light cruiser in London convention classified as heavy cruisers so have 180mm guns (in convention light cruisers have guns up 155mm and heavy cruisers have guns from 155mm to 203mm).
i replaced the revenge by the King Georges V and renamed it to Gangut class , it seems the Gangut class ships were decommissioned in the 1950's .? thanks

Yes, Marat class was decomissioned in 1950's.
Arkhangelsk was ex-Royal Sovereign and receive in soviet navy as reparation from Italy in 1944 year and commisioned in soviet navy. Himself Royal Sovereign for game you can find: http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showpost.php?p=883552&postcount=119
Sovetsky Souz class for game: http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showpost.php?p=881456&postcount=36
It's clone from other BB.
Heavy cruiser Tallin (ex-Petropavlosk) for game: http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showpost.php?p=881465&postcount=37

IIRC one of the Marat class BBs was crippled by Hans Ulrich Rudel's Stuka in the defence of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), the others I have no idea were it was during WW2 (Black sea?) but anyway I always liked the looks of it. Would be a great ship to see in the black sea as target for your Type II :D
EDIT: Yup it was Sevastopol which was in the black sea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gangut_class

From BB Marat class - 2 was in Baltic sea fleet (Marat and Oktyabrskaya Revolutsia) and 1 was in Black sea fleet (Parizhskaya Kommuna). Battleship Marat was heavy damage in september 1941 year by german planes (explosion forward magazine 1st 305mm turret) and used more as floating battery during WWII and after as base training ship until decomission.
For game now made Marat class as clone from other BB, but in many reasons apparantly Marat class for SH III would be in future mod War Elite v.3.0. Apparantly in far future.

As an aside to the "Gangut" class, there were four ships originally: ""Gangut", "Sevastopol", "Petropavlovsk" and "Poltava". After the October revolution, they were given new revolutionary names, becoming "Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya", "Parishkaya Kommuna", "Marat" and "Mikhail Frunze" respectively. "Parishkaya Kommuna" was sent to the Black Sea at the end of 1929 and remained there to the end of her career, the others remaining in the Baltic. "Mikhail Frunze" was badly damaged by two fires in 1922 and, no longer being worth repairing, was used as "spare parts depot" for her sisters. Her armament was removed and, interestingly, her four main turrets are still in existence! Initially, the turrets went into storage, but in the 1930s two turrets were shipped to Vladivostok and were mounted on Russky Island to guard Vladivostok's approaches. The other two turrets remained in storage, but were finally put into service post-war when Fort Maksim Gorky near Sevastopol, destroyed during the 1941-42 siege, was rebuilt. Originally Maksim Gorky had two twin 12" turrets, after the post-war reconstruction the fort emerged with two triple 12" turrets. The Russky Island and Maksim Gorky batteries still exist as museums, but were in commission for many years- the last remains of Russia's Dreadnoughts.
"Marat" was partly destroyed in September 1941 by Stukas, and scrapped post-war (ca. 1953?), reverting to her original name of "Petropavlovsk" in 1943.
"Parishkaya Kommuna" became "Sevastopol" in 1942, was decommissioned in 1956 and scrapped around 1958, "Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya" was scrapped in ca. 1956.
"Mikhail Frunze", though probably little more than an empty shell, was scrapped in the mid-1950s.

There were also two WWI light cruisers,
"Krasni Krim" 180mm guns and "Krasni Kavkas" 152mm guns. Both were highly involved in shore bombredment. I had read once that "Kransni Kavkas" was finaly sunk also by Rudel. "Krasni Krim" was sighted once by "Prinz Eugen" in 1944 but the contact was lost in fog.
The MARAT class (originaly 3 (BALTIC)+3 units(BLACK SEA) was designed on the base of italian "Dante Aligeri" class battleships (1912) which was sunk by internal explosion. All 3 black sea MARAT battleships were sunk douring the 1917 revolution. Marat itself was torpedoed by british torpedo boats in Kronstand.I don't remember which of the remaining 3 resembeled "Potemkin" in the well known movie!

well , i'm making my own Gangut class right now but regarding the difficulties i have to find a Gmax obj file importer and Gmax which is irreparably on it's end  i'm thinking of turning myself foward another 3D creation tool . As it took me monthes to master Gmax i think i'll go and see foward Blender regarding the pics (http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lone_House.jpg) i've found it seems powerful . It'll be just a cloned King Georges V with very slight modifications

In looking at this thread I wonder if any of our Russian friends
have any information on what became of the twenty eight
tacoma class frigates from the USA. while the Soviets had them.
I am unable to find mention of them anywhere accept for there
transfer dates and return dates.
although I suspect they never got utilized I just thought I might
ask.

The Black Sea dreadnoughts, although of a similar layout, were actually a different design- somewhat slower than the "Ganguts", but with much better protection. The first, "Imperatritsa Mariya", blew up and sank in Sevastopol harbour in 1916; her wreck was later refloated upside-down, but was not repaired and scrapped in the 1920s.
The second ship, "Imperatritsa Ekaterina II", was renamed "Svobodnaya Rossiya" after the February Revolution. Taken over by the Bolsheviks after the October Revolution, she was to be handed over to Germany under the terms of the Brest-Litovsk treaty, but was sunk off Novorossisk in June 1918 by the destroyer "Kertch" to prevent handover. Unsuccessful salvage attempts were made in 1930.
The third ship was named "Imperator Aleksandr III", renamed "Volya" after February Revolution. Handed over to Germany at Sevastopol in August 1918, renamed "Wolga" but not commissioned by the Germans due to serious manpower shortages. Was taken over by the Whites and renamed "General Alekseev"; after collapse of the White forces in South Russia was eventually interned at Bizerta, and eventually scrapped there in the 1930s. France offered to hand over the ship to the USSR in 1924, but was refused due to her poor condition- yet the Soviets decided to salvage "Svobodnaya Rossiya" six years later.......... as if twelve years in salt water (not to mention torpedo holes) would have done HER condition any good!!!!!!!
