I'm presently running Thomsen's No Instant Death Screen Mod which I really like.
I'd like to try Rubini's Water Stream for U-boats Mod.
However, the No Instant Death Screen Mod has already made some changes to the u-boat sim files and the Water Stream for U-boats Mod also wants to change the u-boat sim files.
Thomsen & Rubini, any suggestions on what I should do?

Hi Von Zelda,
In the Water Stream mod I only modifyed two things on .sim: the draught and range. If you know how to do it is just a matter to open the .sim with S3D and make the same changes on PT files. After that you can delete my .sim files.
My changes was made just to provide a better feeling of sailing "really into the water" (more draught) and the range was adjusted to compensate the new draught. I´m sure that when i finished all the uboats me and PT will talk about and will made the mods compatible out of the box. And FYI is possible to run WaterStream mod just using the .dat files (so no conflicts).;)

Thanks Rubini for your reply. I took out Thomsen's mod to try yours. And again, another great mod by Rubini! Loooking forward to the completion of the mod (type IIs and IXs).
Will you come out with a complete mod that's compatible with 2.1 when it is released?

All type IX and 2 Ai uboats (VIIC/41 and resuply uboat) are already finished. Now onlly the type II family and type XXI remains. We need to wait for GWX2.1 release at first, anyhow i guess that it will be compatible since now.

Sorry for taking so long to answer, I spent my weekend out.
I'm working on a new version of the No instant deathscreen mod, and the next version WONT have any .sim files, it will avoyd a lot of conflicts.
I'll upload it in 3 hours, von zelda!
The new version has no fire and smoke effects (problem is, even after you fix the damage, smoke won't stop going out of the damaged part) and I'm balancing better the flooding times, equipment damage (the diesel engine was as easy to get damaged as the periscope :-? ) and a lot of other things... I reckon that the fourth version of my mod is a little more "decent". Its well balanced now. On the mission I'm testing, there is 10 destroyers, me, and 300 meters of water!
Plus, I'm trying to kill the mission end by total flooding of a compartment. But so far I'm pretty sure that that is hardcoded... :damn:
I was able to delay the deathscreen by some seconds after total flooding, tho... :hmm:
More info to follow, look for a new thread for it soon!

This is great news PT.
I was just about to load the NID mod then happened upon this thread. Methinks I'll wait a little longer. ;)
Best regards
