First off what a fantastic game SH3 is and the GWX Mod is just great but im having a bit of trouble with the GWX 2 Mod, I cant start another patrol after i have completed my first one, which is frustrating to say the least.
What happens is, i go out on my first patrol at the start of the war, sink a few ships, have a great time milling around, and then Return to Base, no problems there. I save it just before i enter base (just incase it all goes wrong) and then dock.
I sort out my sub with fish, dish out the gongs and start a new patrol, or i would but it just tells me that my sub was destroyed!! AHHH the Horror!!
I have tried resuming that first patrol from the last save point but still get the same statment, i have tried a further back save point, still the same, i have started the whole patrol again, still the same, a different username and reinstalling the whole games dosent help either.:damn:
Im now back to GWX 1, still a great game but i want to get GWX 2 sorted out so i can do the whole campagin in all its glory.
Any surgestions that you may have would be fantastic.
GWX ROCKS!!!:sunny:

Have not heard of this type problem.
1. Have you played GXW 1 without problems?
2. Did you load GWX 2 over GXW 1?
3. Are you using Commander 3?
4. What mods are you running? If you are running mods do you use JSGM? If
so have you tried to de-activate the mods?
5. In yourt documents file you have a SHIII file that contains data files for career and replays. What does it say? Does it show your last patrol number and capyains name?
This is a great forum for peolple helping you. Someone with more experience then me will probably come along. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response.
1. Yes i had no problems with GWX 1 at all, fantastic mod!!
2. It was a clean install of GWX 2, i completly uninstalled sh3 and GWX 1, then reinstalled every thing.
3. Not using SH3 commander, dont even know what it is or does?
4. The only mods im running is GWX 2.
5. Yes it is saving the game files with my captains name and patrol number on it.
Is there an update to GWX 2 or am i clutching a stings? Any help would be great.
Keep on sailing:sunny:

You have do delete your whole SH3 folder from My Documments before installing GWX 2.0. Old carrers wont work.

Click on my sig, this will take you to the GWX website. Follow the installation instructions carefully.
I uninstall the game via the facility on the actual game disc.

There's one problem, DO NOT SAVE the game within 50 km of port. Not GWX's fault, that's a hard-coded problem.
Also...DO NOT SAVE while submerged or under attack when surfaced.

Wrong, the only place where you shouldnt Save is near harbors, other things are ok, TCDs when loading a saveame appear randomly, then a savegame file is corrupt, but it has nothing to do with if your submerged or not,. most of my savegames are sumberged.

IT IS NOT advisable to save whilst submerged under any given set of circumstances.....There are literally hundreds of posts dotted around this forum whch testify to the potential 'save game' consequences. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif
