Alternative Explosions ?

Hi all,
The one thing that really bugs me is when blowing stuff up, after a while the ensuing explosion (running GWX 2.0) grinds my pc to a deathly 3 fps. Is there any way of editing this or is there an alternative file for download?

I have done an alternate sound FX pack for GWX2 if you want to give it a go just see my signature, might help.:yep:

Also, try turning your particle density down, and don't use enhanced damage effects.

My machine crawls if I'm zoomed in on a fire after explosion, or even have it in the scope for that matter. Bloody fraggin annoying. Got P/D down to 80%, anything less and other graphic affects become a joke.
2 ghz machine w/ 2 gigs ram & a 256 card.
Sometimes reduced to battles in the F6 screen. :nope:

Generally I don't have performance issues, (well, no complaints so far !) and I'm running GWX 2.0 with OLCE and a couple of small mods on a Celeron pc, 1.5 gig ram, crappy Geforce 6200 256 card. It runs like a dream until that intense fire (just before sinking), then its creep at 3fps so i have to look elsewhere. Shall remove EDE when back in port.
Used to have serious slow framerates in Navmap screen (2 fps) at 16x TC! So I don't use SH3 Gen anymore, which is a shame as I used to like using that, Oh well, can't have it all.
