Ok, I forced a conning tower upgrade by following these two threads: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=123857 and http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=673988&postcount=13. I did this because it was late '43 and I was tired of my original tower on my Gato class sub. The only problem though is that the forward machine gun does not show up on my screen when in port and I therefore cannot assign a crew member to it. Can anyone point me to the lines in the "ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc" that I need to edit to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I got the same Problem with the double Deck gun on my Balao late 45
Ok...I had the right conning and I hadn't changed the save files

If you are using hi res skins, what skin are you using? If you're using a black skin, it will always be black. If that is the case, then download one of Foo's weathered or clean skins in grey and activate it and you're all set.

Yes, I'm using two of Foos skins and they are very nice. Both the Gato and the Balao look great!
