SH3Gen or something...
had it for a while, but refrained from using it, so deleted the icon.
small marks all over the navmap giving away positions of ships and convoys...
:hmm:

flag, i get a lot of time to play agreed (last night i spent seven real life hours in it), but you know what?

I read a lot of books, and those that i have red, i read again.
then, when reading the books, i note down when and where the brits were busting Bismark, and you guess what?

than i do not need SH3Gen no more.:D

so my source is not SHgen but history books.
Combined with GWX (wich includes many of the big events and hunting grounds) i am all set!

And that is my tip to you, and maybe others too: do not just play, but read up on it as well. makes you feel there, know history, and feel smarter too.:know: :sunny:

2 cents...

I have to agree with that sentiment. Knowing the real history is much better than just playing a game. But I came from the opposite direction: I was already reading the history, and I play the game because of it.

On the other hand, I do use SH3 Gen, but set to a fairly low level. I'm not so interested in finding out where everything is on the SH3 map as I am in having it be wrong.:rotfl: I only use it once, right after starting a patrol, and I pretend I have just opened my safe and looked at my secret orders.

Wonderful toy.:sunny:

me too...
it all started when a friend of my mom needed to get rid of his Aeroplane magazine collection...
Suddenly i found myself surrounded by some 5k pages on aeroplanes and their history, boy of 10 that i was.
fantastic.
been a bookworm ever since.:arrgh!:
Plastic models and PC simming were developments of it...

real life? whats that?

If you open enough doors you'll find a place that some call "outside". I don't recommend it though; far too scary.

ah you mean the area where it smells so good... hmm, i think they call it "fresh air" or something.
i do not really remember, and do not care much either...
