Playable type VIIC submarine for Silent hunter4:Wolves of the Pacific 1.5 Uboatmissions:
Description:
The mod adds a type 7c submarine into the game as a german playable submarine. The sub is avaible in single missions, single patrols, the campaign and in the museum.
Features:
-VIIC submarine
-Sub conning1(only avaible in missions before 1943)
-----light flak
-Sub conning2
-----light flak
-----light flak
-Sub conning3
-----light flak
-----light flak
-----heavy flak
-Uboat 9 interior(the uboat 7 interior had many bugs and untextured crew but the uboat9 interior is very similar)
-3singelplayer test missions
-Sh3GWX main menu music
-Submarine avaible in campaign(although there were no type 7 subs in the indian ocean)
Known Issues:
-no 3d flak and deck gun crew
-bow and stern waves are weird
-crew gives no contacts on periscopedepth with rised periscope
(may anyone can fix it and send me the file)

Nice job!

I`m looking forward to sailing the VIIC in SH4`s visual glory. With the sun tanned crew in t-shirts it fits well in some Mediterranean missions:sunny:
hehe I got the sh3 campaign files after 5 hour ship copying working
but every little stupid ship has no textures...so I won't release it...but when AOTD germany realese their Megamodpack: Fall of the rising sun.....then I think with this couple of ships it is easy to make this

the VIIB is similar to the VIIC
The IXB and IXC issimilar to the IXD2
and then there is the IIA and IIB...(who wants to drive this small subs in 1943??
But I said it..AOTD has for sure all subs in the game(whne u chech out their forum u belive it)

I tried using the VIIC in a campaign and I got a CTD when I tried to launch the rubber dingy in a supply mission. So as it is now I will use it for anti-shipping only.

I found the files in sh4 and the similar files used in sh3.... but where is the linking from the submarine? and where can I change it....

There is no node for the crew with the rubber dingy
I think we have to delete all supply missions for the VIIC
or u do not use it before 1944

Ich hoffe du weisst, was das für eine 1-Mann Arbeit ist, die da noch auf die zu kommt. Wir arbeiten zu dritt an diesem Projekt (Atlantik) und sind schon in der 4. Woche.
I hope u know how much work it is for one man. which is incomming. We are 3 man working on this atlantic project and we are in the 4th week.

Clone a wake controller from the SH4 subs, instead of porting the SH3 one. THe SH3 vs SH4 shipwake controllers are completely different. The SH4 kind is simpler to use and probably renders correctly without much need for tweaking. Open a SH4 sub it's val file, find the ShipWake controller and export the properties. Open the 7c val file, and import the new properties where the old properties of ShipWake sit, update the parent id and don't forget to remove the old properties.

the wakes are working like on a sh4 sub
but there are still this stripes some meters back of the uboat
I think i have to delete an other chunk

I haven't really looked at your mod nor do I know how you did it, but just moving SH3 files over to SH4 doesn't guarantee it works. As you may know, SH4 has been upgraded and improved with new controllers and behavior of old controllers is not guaranteed to work 100% the same as in SH3. So yea, I think you may have to run through the files and compare them with a SH4 sub to see what the fundamental changes are, and try to implement them as such...
Keep it up and keep digging, I'm sure you'll find it :up:

Nautilus_42 told he changed the conning.dat and the submarine.dat
so now all waves are fixed(but only for one conning until now)
He will fix the other two connings too later
It is avaible on his Filefront Page

Correction: Only the ConningTower.val and VIIC.val-files are fix, no others files neccessary to fix!!!!!!

I got the same Problem when I have Trigger maru enabled, but on the crew of IXD2 too
...have u got trigger maru overhauled activated?
And to the Error message:
look into the mod and search for the path: Data/Menu/SubmarineClasses/Nss_Uboat7c_shp.tga
there must be the shape because I added it
Have u deleted anything?

the max depth was set to 300 m and crash to 90, changed it to 100 and 28 respectively, is it a metric/imperial measurement prob ?

It was from Silent hunterIII...they set the max depth very deep, so that u can go very deep when u hit the dive button.
When a german sub-capitain said 'dive', the sub should go deeper an deeper until he says 'maintain depth'.
In Us subs 'dive' means going to an special depth like 100m.
