Totally :D Ok so I don't think I will of much help to track down eventual glitches but if you have a spare copy I take it :p

I don't expect any 'glitches' as such - I've changed nothing that would affect anything but graphics. But I want a beta in case someone sees a green explosion or a pink whale or something. :)

I've tryed out the alpha version and still have yet to remove it!! It is a smiply awesome mod. I will admit that the nights are still too dark, to the point I can bearly see the watch. And seeing how this is an envronment mod can we add some fish, rocks, and seaweed!!

The nights are brighter now than they were in the alpha.

Happy and willing to beta test

but I run with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and ATI Radeon 9250 graphics.

As this is a graphics mod, perhaps my poor beast would struggle.

I should have a bit of time free this week and next to test this if you like. I run SH3 GWX on a laptop (4GB, 512MB nVidia, dual-core, widescreen etc.), and I would be interested to see how this performs compared to a desktop.

I currently run your alpha, and like many others the nights are completely black! Although, the other evening I actually managed to sink HMS Revenge at about 2am game time!!! :up: That was pure luck, I had tracked her convoy for some hours and was in the perfect position when taking the shot. I could just make out her silhouette and fired - all 4 hit, and she went down within 20 mins.

I don't see why not. Yes, it should be easy enough to rework it so it's compatible by taking the existing WAC 3.0 scene.dat and doing the same changes there as I've done to the GWX file.

I'd test this beauty out if I had the time since I'm currently staying with a friend, but if I get home for a few days I'd gladly take it out for a run. I've always had issues with dark nights since I bought a widescreen LCD monitor. I'd love to see a solution that makes it so that I don't have to blacken half the house and crank the gamma to an unrealistic level just to make the game playable.

Send me a PM and I'll let you know if I ever get around to it.
