This is a cloned and reworked NSS_Uboat9d2 from the UBoatMissionADDON, with WatchOfficers on Deck, Deckgun and AA_Guns working.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but what does this do that the IXD2 in the addon doesn't do?

Gimpy, a British T-class would make more sense I think........ but a Dutch sub is also neeeded.

I just want to run into another sub, whether it's allied or axis. Sometimes the ocean feels a little too empty out there and it's your boat versus the world.

I have no objections to AI U-Boats in SH4 I am not playing them in SH4. :smug:


Now if you will excuse me I smell a German U-Boat out there that needs sinking, nice work. :up:

I can not see the U-Boat in the Museum or it's data? :-?

Playing stock SH4 1.4 with mods

Just dl the Jap AI one as well.

Has anyone run into an AI sub while on patrol, yet? (Other than docked at port or part of a specific mission). I downloaded the AI boats for use in 1.4.

They have to be scripted into the campaign game.

In TM, if your in the SW pacific, you have a small chance to see a german uboat near the java seas area, but they are pretty rare sight. Right now im stting on TMO SP2.... im tinking about wrapping it up and calling it quits on it.. not sure yet. running out of ideas. But.. ive scripted in the Jap AI submarines in this one, and theirs a better chance to see one of those then a german uboat.

One question, do this subs travel only at surface or they can also dive?
I remember an old mod for sh3 in which AI submarines dould dive and fire torpedoes agains you.

That would be cool. The SH1/SHCE AI subs would dive to evade, if you were spotted. The only change in the attack required a depth setting of about 75 ft., because you could still see the scope. :)
