I must apologize for being redundant, because I am almost positive that I saw a post for this before but I'll be darned if I can find it.:hmm:

With that said, does anybody have answer as to why the surface and dive sound sequence plays once or twice then quits playing? After I load my saved game it will play on the first time I have to dive/surface then nothing later on. Yes my game is modded and I am using v1.4 of the game, but this has always been an issue.

For those that read and respond, thank you! I do appreciate your time and effort in this matter.

...all wav files over 10 secs don't work proper.
sound.act gets problems if these files have more than 10 secs.
so it is on my comp...may other guys dont have this probs :yep: I dunno:oops:

May you try this for the 1.4 version: http://files.filefront.com/SH4+new+soundszip/;9452159;/fileinfo.html

Not sure if this will help you - please make backups from your original files. Or much better, use the mod enabler tool.

Very cool sound mod! However, it did contain a lot of the same sound sequences I was already using, but they were mixed a whole hella better! Also edited for time, which as you had suggested earlier did infact be the problem. For instance, the "Submarine_DiveAlarm_INT.wav" I was using ran 19 secs., while this new one ran 13 secs. and it did make all the difference. So, thank you for the help. I finally got my game EXACTLY the way I want it now! Cheers!!:D
