Error running SH4 with Trigger Maru 1.7.6

I get this "cannot find file radiomessage.dds" error message during the SH4 loadup splashscreen. Anyone know what this is? I installed the Trigger Maru 1.7.6.

I just tried TMO and I get the same error: "File not found: data/menu/gui/layout/radio_messages.dds". This is a FRESH install.

I'd bet my bottom dollar your tryiing to apply both mods to version 1.5 :p

I didn't. I just completely uinstalled the game and reinstalled 1.0, then installed the uboat missions addon (1.5). Then ran the game, exited out of it. Then installed JSGME v2.0, then I downloaded http://files.filefront.com/1+TMaru+Trigger+Maru+1767z/;9497084;/fileinfo.html again which is the 1_TMaru_Trigger_Maru_1.7.6.7z file, and unzipped it in the MODS directory. Enabled the mod using the JSGME, and installed or did nothing else but run game and I get the error above.

Am i supposed to install the TMaru sound and GFX packs too or something?

Did i do something wrong by installing a fresh copy of the game, then installing the 1.5 addon? Wait I thought that the Trigger Maru 1.7.6 and the Overhaul version both worked with 1.5?

The game runs fine if I deactivate the mod, but i get that radiomessages.dds error if the mod is activated. I disabled the mod then checked the path to see if maybe TMaru was removing that file and radiomessages.dds doesn't even exist at all.

I'm stumped.

Edit: Wait....I just did a search on *.dds and found this "radio_messages.dds". But both TMaru 1.7.6 and TMO are showing an error complaining about "radiomessages.dds", but the file has a _ in it.

How do i fix this?

At current, the only published versions of TM will only work with Sh4 version 1.4 - thats JUST patch 1.4.

If you install the uboat add on to SH4, it is NOT compatible, and will not run (at least not correctly).


The uboat addon (sh4 1.5) compatible version will be posted late tonight, probably around midnight or 1AM PST.

Oh oops. Sorry man. I could have sworn that I saw some people say they got TMO to work with 1.5.
