Do you have external view on in your options settings before you started a mission??

clayp,
The only way i know needs a new career :(
You have to go into the menu/cfg names GamePlaySettings if i rem right, Open her up with notepad and edit the true option on noexternalview to false
Save/exit
Delete sh4 folder in my-docs, Load sh4 and redo your graphics/sound/gameplay etc
Then exit sh4 (this allows any res changes to kick in)
Then reload sh4 and start career
Try and save while in port (then exit and double check the cfg changes have took effect and are now in my-docs reading noexternalview=false, they should of as the mother cfg is the one you edit and one showing in my-docs i guess is just a child/now using cfg
Tried altering cfg while in port but i assume it's a no go
Duci may surely know a quicker/easier way but he busy on tm for 1.5
Hope that helps when the time comes
Have Fun
Ciao

Have you rolled back the mods one by one?
Any mod that has changed the Cameras.dat could be the cause.
I have never looked at the mods you listed.
But those would be where I started looking.
How do I look at the files in the mods so I can read them instead of looking at a bunch of jibberiz?.....Is there a program to do this?...:damn:

Its the default realsim settings in TMO (data/cfg/gameplaysettings.cfg) . The external camera is on, only under "easy". You can however, override that by going into the game settings, and customize the realism settings to your own liking when in the career room. Once your acutally on patrol though, now your talking about editing a saved game - which an get messy.

Ducimus I did set the settings at the start of the career,I play on easy or regular because I'm still trying to learn..So in a nut shell you are saying that I'm takeing the underwater view away myself? Is this correct?

Play on "easy". On Regular/normal, the camera goes off. (again, you can renable it in the realism settings before going on patrol)
