Hi Folks,
I started my first career with the new TMO and RSRD mods. One thing I have noticed is that when I am moving along at 512X time acceleration, if there is a sighting of a ship, I am not automatically moved down to 8X or 1X time. :o Is this supposed to be this way? Can this be modified so that when a contact is made, one is knocked down to 1X?
Thanks,

If the ship is neutral or friendly no decompression happens. I use TM 1.4 (not TMO), RSRDC and that happens.

One more thing DO NOT TC when enemy assets are around. It seems that the IJN ships get super senstive and detect you like it's nothing. You end up dead. Also ships that may seem harmless like fishing boats sometimes contain enemy spies which radio in your postion and some Zeroes or Bettys will be paying you a nice visit. This happens mostly in enemy held areas. Just you should know.

I have found that you can with relative safty go up to TC 8x up to 3nm's from them without being detected, but drop to x4 to 2nm's then x2 after that and they want hear you. Its still a painfully slow process to approach at 1-3 knots at this TC of x4-x2 but nothing else you can do unless someone finds out what triggers the enemy sonar operator when your TCing above x8,x4 and x2. I even had time to leave and go get a burger at Wendy's on one such attack. Risky move on my part? Yes. Came back and all was well and still had to wait 30 minutes for the attack to begin. Only got 1 ship, but the biggest one, a passanger liner. Put 3 fish in her and by the time I fired the 3rd fish there search lights where on my scope and 2 turned towards me so I did a flank speed Emergency Dive to 400, turned 90 degrees hard to port and went to 2 knots all silent again. They where looking for me like hell dropping DC's near me but not on me. Liner sank about 30 minutes later.
PS: BTW I was able to get within 1200 meters of the liner without being detected at x2 TC on hard game 100% realism level and used 3x Mk 18 Fish on contact detonation with 1 as a dud or it missed and I crept away at 2 knots at 2x TC.
Suddenly i understand why I'm discovered so often :oops:

Yes..and here's how to do it...
Go to Data/cfg/ main and look for this ...
[TIME COMPRESSION]
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=4
CriticalDamage=1
CrewEfficiency=128;1
AirEnemyDetected=1
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=4
EnemyDetected=8...change this number to "1"
RadioReport=8
Particles=8
PrayState=8
HunterState=32
3DRender=32
Maximum=8192
