View Full Version : Map screen contact "tails"

Am running SH4 with TMO and RSRD.
I followed the instructions to get the map screen ship contacts back and it worked fine. I have a black circle repersenting all ships (good) but the tails on enemy ships are red (bad).
Is there some .cfg tweek (or file switch) that will turn all tails on all contacts black?

How to make all contact-lines and -tails black, instead of red, green, or blue?
I have a mini-mod, that adds them back into the game (especially when I play with my son, we want those in).
...but the colours kinda spoil everything.
Isn't there some tiny black .dds file, that I need to overwrite the R/G/B-ones with?
Or is it a text-thingy?
I just gotta know the file - can't find it myself - that I need to tweak.

Actually I found a way...it may not be elegant but it works. This presumes you have SH3 with GWX 2.0.
I took the contline.tga, dashline.tga, and all the ship related .tga's from the "Units" folder from SH3 (GWX2.0), converted them to .dds files then made them into JSGME "mod" and added them that way.
Works great!

Make sure to read the readme...his mod doesn't cover the new ships, that are added in for example RFB.
