Hi,

Yesterday I've installed the Generic Mod Enabler in the SH4 main folder.
The first Mod I wanted to experiment with was the ''Torpedo Loadout Editor''. I did follow instructions and Torpedo L.Editor was listed in Available Mods. I finaly activated the Mod by pressing > in the Generic Mod Enabler.

I started the Torpedo L. Editor before the SH4 program....is that OK = ??
The torpedos listed in the SH4 sub were the same as those listed in the Torpedo L. Editor.

Problem : After shooting X number of torpedos, I switched to the Torpedos L.Editor and found out that they were all still there. The torpedos do not substract from Torpedo L.Editor after being shooted.
What do I do wrong ?

Please Help

Sam

Hi Sam,
and Welcome on this forum!!
It seems you are using the Torpedo loadout editor as a mod and with the goal of having unlimited torpedoes on your sub...If I have understood correctly.

Well, first the editor is not strictly speaking a "mod", but it is a tweaking tool which allows you to change the type and quantity of torpedoes available by default on a single submarine type for every year of war.
That means you do not have to "install" it like a mod.

To use it you have to run it before starting sh4 (as you have correctly done), change the loadout of the desired sub type/year, save, close and then launch SH4.

The fact is that the editor changes upc files taht are used only to set the loadout of submarine in single missions and in campaigns when the mission is generated. This modification has no effects on already stated missions. (this mean you can't use it like a trainer for infinite ammo).
