Dont you think that theres to much of SOS/tonnage/contact report type message in GWX? It makes me angry when im trying to sail from point A to point B and every 20 min i get message from sinking ship/other u-boat, so time compresion goes to 1 and i have to press + button to reach 1024 time compresion again and again... I hate that! Do you guys have the same feeling?

Thats why i have a question. Anybody here has modified message txt file? I mean a file where wont be so much stupid, useless information... pm me or replay to this thread ;)

lo mate

while i do love the extra messages in gwx for immersion i can understand your frustrations kaleun

remove the radio operator from the radio compartment in the F7 screen...this will stop messages being recieved

then put him back when it suits and they'l start pouring back in again!!!!

I think its much easier to delete messages from that txt file, but i wont get anyif ill do that... All i want is to reduce number of messages i get during patrol... If i will remove radio operator i have to put him to other compartment-the best is to put him to.. d'oh i forget name of this compartment where sailors are resting... hope that you know what im talking about ;) if ill put him there, other sailor have to go to torpedo/diesel-electric machine where he will get tired... During long patrol every sailor is important to me, so i dont want to do that. Thx for replay mate ;)

Well, sounds like you might REALY hate the expanded radio log, it has over 8000 msg. So why would I recomend it to you anyway then?
The install is JSGME and includes a basic - stock msgs, about 2 dozen I think. You can use JSGME to switch back and forth with expanded in case you want more immersion. You don't have to be in port it is a txt mod.

And by the way you know you can edit your t/c settings with commander as well. Just remember to set them back before you add any major mods or you might wind up with sound problems.
