GameplaySettings.cfg - Question

This line from the config:

[MiscSettings]
AlwaysAutotargeting=0,0,0,0,0;for warships, merchants, uboats, air and, respectively, land targets

Does anyone happen to know wether these values can be edited to allow Auto targeting for certain types only and what the correct values should be.

I'm thinking I would like Manual Targeting for Merchants but Auto Targeting for Warships.;)

This is on the assumption that this line governs the players targeting values and not the AI's.

The second "0" is for "manual targeting for merchants".

For example, try to switch the first "0" to "1", save, and face an enemy destroyer to look if the "Auto targeting" has been enabled. And then, face a merchant to view if the "Auto targeting" is enabled (it should not be enabled in that case).

I'll give it a go. However, of note is that these values don't change even if Manual Targeting & No WO assistance is enabled. I wonder if there is a change needed elsewhere.:hmm:

Do you say that the cheat dont work?
Mmm...as you say, maybe exits other line/s needed for modification.
I'll take a look to the file later...

If i remember correcly, those values only work when surfaced. If the auto-targeting is on, then you're crew will automatically man the deckgun and start shooting. (which is never a good idea)
