See if you have had the same strange problem as I have.

As long as I am saving games while I am playing I can reload them without any problems.

If I shut the sim down and then come back and try and load the last save I the that wonderful Error Dialog Box that SH4 isn't working. WTF ??

I tried some before the last load same problem.

So I go back to one that loads fine and run it for awhile and then stay in the game and load the next one that was not working the first time and it loads ??? WTF ??

I continue doing this until I get back to my last savegame and it works again.

Have any of you tried this to get back to a savegame that was not working ???

Another item which may or may not relate to the savegame not working. If during the game I go back to the main menu and select options and then uncheck all the checks so I am down to 0 realism, does that kick in with my last savegame ? It doesn't seem to. And what if you change options when you come back into the game and load your last savegame ? I would think it should work. You should be able to change options as will. Right ???

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++

I have another one that I will post that will be separate.....

Regards, I feel your frustration on savegames for TM 1.7.6...

Have not had any issues with Save Games in historical missions or career with TM 1.7.6, and TM Overhaul ( the latest version ). On my second install with RFB, again no issues with save games. I always save on the surface and away from other shipping. Now there are folks that save underwater and near ships and they do not have issues with save games. I have not been that daring in that regard.

If you are using JSGME and you did a file snapshot after installing JSGME on a fresh install of 1.4 you can do a compare and see if the file structure has been corrupted. If so you need to do a fresh install.

If it were me I would go ahead and do a fresh install. Best of luck!
