Loading Mission Issue

Ok...I know this is probably been discussed time and time again with the old style of installing SCU and SCX...but I downloaded the new utility at Bill's site and thought I would give it a shot.

Installed SC, patched to 1.08, installed SCXIIc via new utility.

The mission...Bill's 1985 Sturgeon Med.

I use the SCU Sub changer and get the 'success' notification. Go into SC and pick the mission and see that the Sturgeon Class sub is picked. The loading bar is shown and 3/4 of the way...stops on a dime. Freezes my system completely.

I remember having the same problem on my old laptop.I think I got it to work once but when the game got going it just froze when the fighting started!
