Just done my first patrol using GWX2 and SH3 Commander. Start of the war (sank nothing by the way, and had to return to a different base because of fuel issues), I got back and although I have 1900 renown, the desk that would normally allow you to configure/upgrade your sub isn't clickable. Also, niether is the captains desk. Is this GWX or SH3 commander? And why is it doing it?

Also, I selected the RUb crew fatigue model in SH3 Commander and once my crew get the red exclamation mark it stays with them for the rest of the patrol no matter how long I leave them in the quarters. How does this work? And can I change it mid-career?

I'm not sure what is causing that to happen, but you should never, never do upgrades at the end of a patrol. Do them at the start of the new patrol, or you're just asking for ingame trouble.

As to the fatigue question, RUB used a 'weariness' system, that made the crew grow tired more slowly, but permanently. You need to rotate them diligently, and keep them in quarters when not on duty. The quarters will keep them from fatiguing further, but will not restore them. On the other hand, they can still function even when fully fatigued. You must take care when using that system.

Could this be because I didn't return to my starting base. Perhaps sub refurb/upgrade facilities aren't available at the place I finished the patrol? It was the small island base just north of 2nd Flotillas starting point. :hmm:

Ah. You need to return to the flotilla's base, not a random friendly harbor for fishing boats ;)
