[REQ] VIIC Dark skin?

I'm looking for a plain, dark skin for the VIIC. I don't know of any that are not either too dark for my liking, too distinctive/camouflaged for my liking, or too rusty for my liking (no offense to any skinners, I've tried skinning, it's very difficult, and I really like the skins you all have made, but I would rather not have such distinctive-looking boats all the time :-?). I would prefer an appearance that is very plain, new, and not pitch-black. Is this possible? I've tried many varieties of black boat skins (Not sure who they are by, but one variety I like is very detailed, I believe modeled after Alberich) but I have never found any I find to be... how do I say this... perfect for my boat preferences. Is it possible for any of you to make a somewhat shiny/new-looking boat that is not pitch-black, but still as dark as would be expected from an Alberich boat? Thank you for your time, and I hope this is not too problematic.

I wouldn't mind tackling this for you, is there a way you could paint me a better visual idea of what you'd like? Toss me an example and more details and I'll finish something as soon as I can for you. :cool:

This is an early version of a skin by CapZap of a IXD2 based on U-253 (Beautiful skin BTW! :D) and that dark hull color is pretty close to what I'm looking for. It seems just about right for my purposes, but as long as it looks vaguely like that color, I'm satisfied.

CapZap's a very good friend of mine, he's tried to get me to paint IXD2's and I've tried to get him to paint VIIC's but neither of us have strayed from our own specialties :lol:


I can get your hull color to match that boat easily, do you want the same patterns for the conning tower or would you like it that shade of greyish-black all over? And from your first post you want this to look relatively new, that I can certainly accomplish! :cool:

Are there any other specific details you want squeezed in before I start slingin' paint? :|\\
