Just a quick question about SHIV/TM1.7.6/RSRDC_P3_TM_v320 for TM176. I started a new career in December, 1942 and in three patrols progressing into May, 1943 all I have seen besides plenty of aircraft is single merchants sailing. I've not seen one warship (destroyer or otherwise). Is this supposed to be the way it is or is it possible that I have something installed wrong using the JSGME? Also wondering about airplane contacts in the middle of the night. I was not aware that the Japanese could fly their planes at night in late 1942 and early '43.

Aside from teh fact that in phase2 I just managed to maul a taskforce and sink the shokako CV, retirement it is :up:

From first post in RSRD sticky thread:

"RSRDC Phase III is a Rollup of all changes to RSRDC since release. “DO NOT” use “ANY” Phase I or II versions with this mod or you are going to get a CTD. Save games from Phase II “should work” with Phase III. If you use RDRDC Patrol V100, please deinstall, as it is now part of Phase III. "

Uninstalled the game, ran crapcleaner, rebooted, installed the game again, applyed the patch 1.4.

The game runs normally, did a test run.

Installed RSRDC_P3_v300 with JSGME.

Started the game and took a shot at career with these options:

March 28th 1945
Taskforce 42/72
Balao
Normal
7000

...and when I hit the "Proceed" button the game crashes.

Anyone else has this problem?

Probably my XP is getting iffy.

Due to a typo in the CareerStart.upc, when selecting the Balao class for Task Force 42/72 on the following dates February 8th 1945, March 28th 1945 and July 7th 1945 the game will CTD.

The following is a required patch to fix the problem

No it is not. You load that mod on top of RSRDC, SH4 "will" CTD

So far I've found it's a damn fine complement to RSRDC. Make sure to get the correct version. Also, please remember, this is a submarine simulation game, not a shoot' em up you guys! ;)

Anyone else having incorrect dates displayed as you exit a game?

Also getting lots of the same report... something about a boat sinking near a volcano. Anyway, just crashed into a rock, got medals for dying, now all the saves are corrupted... any ideas anyone?

Now I tend to hunt for historic event/venue and prioritize them on top of the patrol objective. In my first patrol main objective was anti-shippinig in bungo straight, I delayed it and instead went to defend wake island as I knew Japs attack on wake around Dec 22nd. With some patience, you are bound to encounter some of the invade IJN force. I believe Mr. Lurker added quite some spice to this area for you to enjoy. :up: That's why I love RSRD ;) I figured if you play by objective and head for bungo straight (or any other anti-shipping obj like in luzon or singapore shipping lane) directly after pearl harbor attack, you'll miss out most of the actions that happened in Wake. With the next main event coming up on Jan 23rd,1942 when Japs will take Rabaul and attack Bougainville, I'm hoping to hunt something for good there and delay bungo straight obj again. :arrgh!:
