I know there's one modeled on Tomi's VIID
so could we add a shootable one to the conning tower.
i know the boats were equiped with one for defensive purposes, so why not add one in to help with thise pesky elcos
or is this not possible due to engine restrictions....
im thinking maybe a mg-34 or 42 that's not visible when off and has a station on the back or front of the tower.
122 views, no relpys...aparently that's either A.no or B.I'm stupid...

I'd say it's possible with a "but" thrown in.
You need to edit the Turm dat to add a weapons node,
build the model in 3d and place it in a dat,
then do the sim stuff for it AND a new shell with all
it's needed file work.
(Takes a breath)
THEN we need to do all the hex work to place crew using it.
Which involves even more hex work,
not to mention all the basic config stuff,
the damage screen stuff,
and the stuff I don't even know about yet.
Bottom line is,
I don't think anyone likes to take on mods like this.
They are a lot of work for little return at first glance.
Also, most of us work in one or two areas,
so some of the needed work would fall to someone else.
And that puts people off.

I bet we could pull the model from a game...like Day Of defeat:source
just think: 250 rounds @ 1200 R.P.M!!

Hi!
Think FPS @ 12 as the game computes the trajectory, interactions, and damage of 20 new objects per second.
Privateer is correct, of course: it could be done. I was speaking more in a project management mode (i.e.,would it be worth the effort?). Go for it if you so desire! :D

Just thinking of the settings in the sim files........
If recoil time and load time were set to zero.......
How many rounds would be fired in one minute?
