Exactly what it says on the tin, my logic here be explained.
It has been over 60 years since the Japanese and the Russians have come together to fight at sea, in recent months the tensions between pyongyang and tokyo have grown increasingly worrying for both Russia and Japan.
President Putin and Prime Minister Fukuda have signed a pact which includes other nations such as the United States, Great Britain, and Australia that should any Hostile action from North Korea be focused on any one of these nations (more so Japan) they will act in accordance with the threat.
Last month Japan announced it wishs to create ties with Russia in a bewildering move that stunned the world, former enamies for most of the past centuary Japan has announced that it entends to create a series of exercises with the Russians and eventually work together on other such threats to each others countries.
January the 28th will see the Japanese fleet sail from Yokasuka and the Russians from Vladivostok over 100 years after the infamous Russo Japanese war of 1905, but this time its just an exercise.
Japan is sending along two destroyers and three frigates and two submarines as well as land based maritime aircraft, the Russians have stated they are planning to send a cruiser two destroyers and two small frigates with two submarines, land based aircraft is unknown at this point.
The aim of this three day exercise is to show North Korea that both Russia and Japan mean Business, the aim mainly is to mission kill the flag ships which are heavily protected by escorts.
The japanes flagship a kongo class destroyer will be the target for the Russians, while the Ustinov Cruiser is the flag ship for the Russian fleet and again is protected.
This is a series of war games planned to take place this year another more ambitious exercise is planned for early to Mid february and could involve other nations as well.
Ok so thats the background got the objectives its 3 days so not long at all, and it is a series of around 4 or 5 diffrent exercises, so if all is going well the series may be up for release but not 100% yet what you guys think of the back ground story?
