I know the atlantic isnot green, but i still like the green colour that the das boot untersee shots have. i blow at anyhting nerdy:), so has anyone done this yet?

yes there kinda has a while back. Um....I cant find the post, but i could send you the color file if you like. you just replace it with the EnvColors_Atl.dat in the Env folder in the data folder of sh3

If you like the greenish colour on the surface of the sea you can use Sober's 3D Waves mod. Click on the link under my signature to get it, although to tell you the truth the new GWX wave textures are far better and realistic.

Just use MiniTweaker and edit the colors to your hearts content.

I have green seas set for the start of the day in calm weather only, it breaks up the tedium of endless blue.

Yes or do a search for Kriller, he did quite a few with murky water!:yep: I think there is an option in SH3 Commander for changing the sea colours.:D

I don't think you can change the color of the sea in SH3CMDR, just the wave hight. In GWX, when you load the Mediterranean Sea files, it does change the color of the ocean. As mentioned above by flackmonkey, you can make the sea any color you want with the minitweaker.

:D i did use the "dasboot underwater mod "its as it says underwater is green like dasboot but the surface stays normal its its an old one but a good one and you dont get the lines in the sea at different depths that shows up with some gfx cards ,that reminds me ill have too dig it out again :up: i aint used it since gwx 2.0 but it worked fine on gwx 1.3 ;)

This mod i created before few months, and i created this with Color Inspector program, it only change Atlatic color not Med(i not tested in Med) but if i remember correct here is my report:
1 Atlatic sea surface is in normal blue color
2 Underwater color is like on picture(green)
3 Fog is tick an also in green color.

(It is very similar to Das Boot movie underwater color.)

Actualy, i think that looks very nice.
Same green color but in much darker level, i will install this agan and then take some screenshots to presentate this(Like CWCowboy sayed:Pictures speak 1000 words).

Also i thinking about creating my next underwater sea color mod, but now i will change color of all seas(Atl,Med,Arctic).

Yes, try with Color inspector(DL link showed above), this excelent program can change all sea parts: surface, underwater and fog.

I will post later small picture(tutorial) what part/option of Color Inspector is used for changing what color section of sea.
