I noticed that the resolutions mentioned in the readme are 1024x768. Will this work for us using the res fix (in my case 1600x1200)?

Yes, menu_1024_768.ini is the name of the file for all graphical user interfaces. So it will adjust to any resolution.

What does this do exactly? Is it compatible with GWX 2.1? Is it Jsgme friendly?

Has anyone managed to activate this mod?:down:

I am stuck in these lines:

2.Add texture files to .............\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\Gu i\Layout
(which of the supplied?)

3. Decide which bearing .tga to use then rename to NotesKompass.tga

(bearing .tga??? which is that?)

It seems used for manually mark contact on compass. If it works this way, it will be great! And may be found a new way to improve the GUI.

What I want is I click a button can add a line or mark on map in Periscope and Sonar interface. Although I know I can not hope that in SH3 and SH4 and may be SH5.

Have installed. Remove [G33 I9] section in menu_1024_768.ini first and then copy and paste.

Not any new feature of GUI. Just some little dragable icons on a compass panel instead pen and paper to help you memory. The problem is if your u-boat change direction. It will not work. But if you don't change direction, should be some helpful.

BTW, texture files here mean TGA files. And choice one NotesKompass*.tga rename to NotesKompass.tga and delete all others and install.

Yes, I also made it work.

It is an interesting initial approach. If this could happen automatically, would resemble some kind of interaction with sonar man without reducing realism, as in real life, the sonar man would report to the captain whatever he could/would hear. Something like the acoustic bearings when you have map contact updates enabled.
