New Programs Installed Problem

After downloading Quicktime Player, I keep getting the 'New Programs Installed' balloon everytime I click Start. That was a week ago and now its starting to annoy me :damn: . Can anyone tell me how to turn this message balloon off. I know there is a way, but can't remember the 'recipe' :-?

Right-click the Start button and then click "Properties" to open the "Taskbar and Start menu Properties" window.
Click the "Customize" button to open the "Customize Start Menu" window and then click the "Advanced" tab.
Remove the tick in the check-box labelled "Highlight newly installed programs".
Click "OK" to save the changes and exit the "Customize Start Menu" window.
Click "OK" again to exit the "Taskbar and Start menu Properties" window.
