The manner in which this community has dealt with the loss of Dave, and the respect that has been shown to him, is a credit to subsim.

Once again, subsim shows why we are a cut above. I don't say that to denegrade any other Forum. I say it because I believe it to be the truth.

Dave was and continues to be a proud member of subsim, and we will continue to respect and honor his name.

Well said TDK :yep: I to have been impressed with this place since Dave's passing. I am not really a member of any other forums, never really wanted to be, the whole experience here with Dave has only cemented these feelings.

Also, hats off to SUBSIM for all of their support during this difficult time. Dave I am sure is somewhere with a big smile on his face and a tear in his eye, SUBSIM meant a lot to him.

I've been to numerous forums dealing with many different games, and I can vouch that the camaraderie in this forum is unsurpassed! Sure, there are occasional disputes, but I haven't seen anything blown out of proportions and creating bad blood between forum members - then again I'm relatively new here, only a couple of months down the road, so I don't know if there's been any in the past. There must be something about the sea, I remember things were pretty friendly over at hookedonpirates as well, despite us forum members all being a bunch of pirates! :arrgh!:
