Hi
How do you merge contacts from different sources on the map with the Helo and probably the P3 too??
Just reinstall DW after a long absence and trying to wrap my head around some of the game functions again!!
Thanx
You can't. Usually you don't need to too.

In the game only units with a TMA station can merge contacts which means both the Helo and P3 cant do it. The only way for the fliers is to merge em in their mind.

can i squeeze in a question?
when you merge contacts... is the TMA bearing line the average of the bearing lines from both sources? Or does it just drop the second track and use simply the first source?
So, if you want to triangulate a contact using hull sonar and long towed array... would merging a contact on both hull and towed array automatically triangulate the contact position?
If you merge a contact e.g. from hull and TA, both types of lines will be displayed in the TMA screen. The dotstack will also include every line given by both sensors. So you don't lose that advantage of triangulation.
In the Navmap, only the current line of the first sensor is shown until you have a first solution. After that, its shown liek every other solution, only with a "Master" designation instead of "Sierra".
However, triangulation is not done automaticly, you have to do it by yourself.
