U want to have 4 Deck Guns on your Balao class?
OK!
A)Open The file Unitparts3Balao.upc in Data\UPCData\UPCUnitsData
with you Editor or Wordpad.
B)Scroll to the almost last point named
C) Write after: ''AcceptedTypes=USLightAA, USHeavyAA'' a comma and then: ''USDeckGun''
now it must look like this:


ID= UpgAAGun
NameDisplayable= Aft Anti-Aircraft Gun
Type=NULL
AcceptedTypes=USLightAA, USHeavyAA,USDeckGun
UserCustomizable=Yes
IDLinkUpgradePackSlots= CTBackAA
IDLinkUpgradePackSlotsIntervalDefault1= NULL, NULL, Upack40mmSingle

D) Now you add the same thing at [U][UnitPart 2.UpgradePackSlot 2]
under this point!
it should look like this:

F)Open Upgradepacks.upc in Data\UPCData\UPCUnitsData
G)Seek for:

H) Now U delete the Dates after ''UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1''
I)Write in place of the dates NULL
it should look like this

NameDisplayable= 5" 25 cal Deck Guns (Bow and Stern)

K)Start a new carrer and choose: 1944 and the Balao class and 5000Prestige
l)Now look if you can put the any DeckGun on the flak slots
M)Put the double Deck Gun on the Deck Gun slot and start any mission


Usually all 4 Deck Guns shoot on ships now!
If you mod the shell speed and other things you can shoot some battleships if you find one
You can make the same thing with the Gato class!

BUT: DON'T PLAY CAREER-MODE WITH THIS 4 DECK GUNS!!!!
-It won't be fun a long time!

Can you tell me how to put a late war conning tower on an early (1941) boat to start a new career ? the early cons only had a single aft AA position. I would like to start a new game (career , 1941) with a selectable class with 1x20mmtwin, 1x40mmsingle, 1x5in25 @ for & aft (2 total). Would also like to import the homming torpedoes from SHIII mod. HELP ??

Make a back up copy of the file somewhere if your going to
alter it.

open the file called

UnitParts1Gato

here you will see a long text file at the top you will see
this

this is the first conning tower the sub uses in the war
and it is available from the begining up to dec 1 1942

NULL, NULL and the tower will
be the only one available during the war.
your going to have to wait a day on the
tutorial for the guns though.

it should yes exactly the same way
tambor has three but some early boats may only
have two conning towers and to make a conning
tower work that doesnt now is a different trick.

Well if I cant bring a Uboat then Id have to Make it from a US boat
seriuously though. Ive only been over here on shiv forums for about
two weeks now and I have a few priority projects in line ahead of
"An American Uber In the Solomons"

Honestly your best bet will be wait for the text based modding tutorial
im working on it will have everything you need to uberize your boat
with the exception of outright speed and armour. and those you will be able to
pick up fairly simply.

Uber is a boat which while outrageous in someways enjoys a certain
balance in others the main theme behind uber here if and when it happens
will be the same as uber in shIII was with an emphasis on player experience
and perception. moreso then outright firepower or horsepower.

one of the great problems with immortality is its no fun. so the enemy
has to be able to Do you so to speak or you lose interest in a very
few minutes.

i was able to add 3 guns and when i try it with BALAO forword guns is not active, i dont know whats that, also is 3 guns only cause of the Tower?

usually the first conning tower of the balao has only one flak slot and the two deck gun slots...
if u scroll down to the second conning u can use 4 but only around 1944

if u have already startet a career it may not works

well try my upgraded deck guns mod and you might find it good enough combined with your 4 deck guns. it reduces firing time to 1 shot every 2 seconds so with 4 guns firing it should be like a machine gun lol :arrgh!:
