View Full Version : Adding or altering nodes?

Obviously, I'm brand new to the community here. I've been slowly learning more and more about modding my own files, mainly by looking at the work done by other modders.

Recently I came across the radar mod for the XXI used for putting a second radar ontop of the snorkel tube. Naturally I wondered if there was a provision for mounting a radar detector on the tube as well, in place of the radar, or to mount a Naxos antenna on the VII/IX snorkel. No such luck. The XXI can be fitted with a snorkel radar detector but all of the radar detectors we have seem to mount on a long pole. There is a second radar node on the VII and IX, but that is the node for the correct position to put the later radars alongside the conning tower.

All that seems to be missing is a node in the correct place. I did a search in the modding form here but came up with nothing. If anybody has an idea, i'll listen.

be patient....I'm writing new software (and lots of it!!) to do things like your asking and much more.....SH_Equipper will be the first to release and very soon...;) With it you'll be able to edit all the equipment on the ships and subs (based on the entries in the .eqp file) from all the \data\Library folder files if you so wish...:rock:

Going through them manually is a pain
