I've asked this b4 but now I can't find it anymore.

Where can I change the stormy weather gun settings for the 105

And where can I change to reload speed of the 37mm single shot.. I want to set it at 1.2 seconds per shell.. (I saw old WWII footage on a 37mm PAK (similar gun only different aiming device) they shot 6 rounds in 8 or 9 sec.

For all weather guns:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX 2\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat9b (or whatever boat your using) CFG file and change the StormConditions value to 99,1 http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/thumbsup.gif

I don't want all weather guns just a nit more for the 105 as it sits on a bigger ship

Tnx anyway :)

Gues faster reload time on the 37mm can't be done?

yes it can. You have to edit the guns.sim file.

exactly....create a new folder in the MODS folder named "37mm_faster_reload_time" or whatever suits you and include the directory path of \data\Library in it. Now copy the file \data\Library\GUNS_SUB.sim to your new 'mod'. Edit the new 'mod's GUNS_SUB.sim file. Enable and test. Fool proof way to test without destroying original files

look for this when you open up GUNS_SUB.sim with the hex editor:

Yellow text = ID (Search for this ID!)
Green text = Parent ID (which is the 37mm)
Orange text = Recoil time which is currently at 0.5 second
red text = recoil distance which is 0.2 meter
Blue text = clip size which is currently set to 1. If you increase this number then the only thing that will 'slow' down the firing will be the recoil time. If this number is a 1 then the recoil time and reload time 'slow' it down
purple text = reload time which is currently set to 2 seconds. With a clip size of 1 every time you fire the gun it has to wait for recoil time and then reload time before it fires the next shell.

Hope that helps ;)

Only bad thing is when I load SH3 it takes me almost 20mins b4 I can start my campaign. So i think I need to figure out how the mission editor works :)

I take it then that this means success at changing the firing rate of your 37mm? :hmm:

Yups.. but more a guessing game than being able to set it to a .7sec reload (added with the .5 recoil) 1.2sec.

are you trying to get a specific fire rate? If so, set the recoil time to 0 and recoil distance to 0, keep clip size to 1, and just change the reload time to the desired fire rate

Approx between 1 and 1.5 seconds. I saw footage of a 4 man 37mm PAK gun team (same gun different ammo, sights and foot). 2 man aiming (commander and gunner) 2 man loading. They were shooting at a house with AT rounds and they where easily doin 5 rounds/ 10 sec. So a whell trained AA team would be able to do that also.
1 loader had a box of rounds (I believed it contained 4 - 6 rounds) he lay behind the breach and with one hand he put a shell into the gun. Then the gun slew back to firing (semi automatic) so breachclosed and ready to fire. The other loader brought a new box.

I want to have it to be approx 1 to 1.5 is in the game info screen also.

It is just that the hex number 00 00 00 40 is imho 63 so nowhere near what I thought it should be (2 sec). I set it at 30 and that is to fast (easy enuf to shoot though, I bagged me 10 stringbags up to now :arrgh!: ). Next I'm goin to try 39 somethin.

In my 1st post I said I also wanted to change how long I could use my 105 in the Type 9 boats. In 1 folder I found 2 tga files did I make a misstake somewhere or is it somethin else?

\data\submarine\NSS_Uboat9b4\> NSS_Uboat9b_shp.tga and NSS_Uboat9b4_shp.tga

Wich one is used? Probably only the last one not?? cause it's a non playable sub.

00000040 is a float32 value which equals 2. 00000030 (float32) = 4.65661e-010 (Blazingly FAST!!). To be 1 set the value to 0000803F or for 1.5 use 0000C03F

See that I didn't know :)

where is a conversion chart or formula?

Can some1 post a list of float32 values??

I'm still not happy with my guns :)

looney this is a late post but if you want to use your guns in less then calm seas but all weather, try changing your boats Storm conditions to 14 or 13.
That will cut them of in heavy seas and you'll still see the raingear now and then.

My idea was that all boats stopped being able to fire their gun in the same kind of weather. I looked at the files and I found this was untrue so I keep those as is.

Now I only want less loading time on the 37mm (the basic single shot one) I hate having to wait for more than 3s b4 it fires while the ingame documentation sais it fired every 1-1.5 sec.

tnx anyway
