Hi!

I've installed SH3 again, the need to sink ships was huge! Then, I downloaded Gray Wolves and found out that the new version does not show you the line (direction of the ship), but just the circle/square. So I was wondering, how can I restore back the stock circle with the line, it would be a lot easier for me :D.

Fang,
Trust me on this one. The game will be a lot more fun the more you do and have to figure out yourself.
I suggest a separate install of SHIII 1.4b and use SH3Contacts (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=127598)
for a run and shoot game when you just want to sink ships.
Use your SHIIIGWX2.0 install for real game play.

I downloaded Gray Wolves and found out that the new version does not show you the line (direction of the ship), but just the circle/square.

Click your mouse pointer on the little square and you will get the estimated direction and speed. With the line tool, starting at the center of the square, draw a long line that represents the direction of travel. The real direction may vary up to 5-degrees to either side of this line. So, as in real life, the commander had to take this unknown into account when going after this contact.

Once you get use to this, it will be a lot more fun and a lot more realistic.

List of degrees:
N = 0 or 360
NNE = 22.5
NE = 45
ENE =67.5
E = 90
ESE = 112.5
SE = 135
SSE = 157.5
S = 180
SSW = 202.5
SW = 225
WSW = 247.5
W = 270
WNW = 292.5
NW = 315
NNW = 337.5

Someone posted a printable compass rose the other day. I printed it out and placed the appropriate marks and degrees around it for easy reference.
