Sub crewman mods.(request?)

Hey Gruppe. I just checked out Hams' splendid crew mods. Excellent stuff. Is thier a public template to make these bubbleheads? My gripe, not with Ham, is no Chief Petty Officers. Rose's post about the S- 44 had me quite stoked, so I checked out stuff on the web. Great stuff. CPOs then wore dungs, the tan combo cover with no brass but the fouled anchor. Also thier was an abundance of black or charcoal grey dixie cups and a very dark shirt too. I don't think it was a coat because they where tucked in dunguree trousers. Also it was not Cap Wienbergers' Navy either. Some sailors had beards! Anyway, Some bitchin' photos of S-44s' CTMs and the torpedo shop @:

I Actually was going to make the CPOS in the dungaress but the fact that their rank insignia was to large for the sleeve and to shrink it down would not have looked very good, if you would like Email me and I will E-mail you back with a quase tutorial on how to put CPOS in the dungarees jwhokc13@yahoo.com

Thanks John. I'll give it a shot. I'm kinda thinking that nobody wore rank on thier dungurees back then from the photos Ive seen. We had iron on crows and devices in the 80s. I can't tell if they wore collar brass then either. V/R, CL

Actually i'll do one better, if you are wanting crew with no insignia except officers follow my link at my sig, I have a mod for that posted, and once you E-mail me I'll just e-mail you a file that you will just drop into that mod and poof your CPO's will be in dungarees and should still be wearing the CPO hat. if you have any other specific request just let me know in the E-mail and i'll do my best, if i'm not able i will at least try to explain why, oh and BTW you need to do it quick I get married tommarow and then it the honey moon untill the 7th of Jan, though I will have a couple of days (Sunday and Monday) that I may be able to get it out. In reality though it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to create the file.

Bravo Zulu! Major congratualations to you and good luck for you too! Plain shirt chiefs are cool, and I'm thinking historicly accurate.That file sounds good. I'll pester you for bearded denizens of the goat locker later. Currently I'm trying to dig up a nice photo of Steve McQueen with a BAR for an avatar, Jake Holmgren in Sand Pebbles. I'll bug you for MM1 Jake in dungs, British pattern brain bucket, and a 1903 springfield rifle to mill about smartly on my S-boat next year. V/R, CL

Okay here is the file, just click the link http://files.filefront.com/Charlielima/;9343246;/fileinfo.html (http://files.filefront.com/Charlielima/;9343246;/fileinfo.html) and download the file named Charlielima after down loading be sure if you are using JSGME to uninstall my mod first then extract the new "CrewMembers3D" file from the CrewMembers3D.rar and drop it into :John Hamm's Officers only Uniform Mod V1.0\Data\UPCData\UPCCrewData--> when asked if you want to overwrite select yes then re-enable the mod with JSGME and you will have to start a new campaign, if you don't do any one of these steps you may have officers wearing enlisted clothes or some CPO wearing officer's clothes or cats and dogs living together!! who knows what else. if you are not useing JSGME then just drop it in and go. I will keep this file hosted untill I get back from my honeymoon.

I'd like to give this a second try. My old S Boat is turning into a goat locker.
