View Full Version : SH3 museum for SH4?
Finally, I got deeper into modding SH4 and has found that there is a mess with uinits' loadouts still usuall for SH titles. Most units are armed as it is 1945 from the very begning. However there is still ability to change weapones for each ship date by date in the same way as in SH3, thus I've decided to extend my Sink them all mod to SH4. The only thing that annoies me is that in new museum there is no way to view units by year. So, my question is is it possible to get back SH3 museum outlook in SH4?

Truthfully i woudlnt have the foggiest idea on where to begin to look. The menu.ini is an obvious choice, but the fundamental way that the UI works, is entirely different from Sh3. The musem, is most likely a code level change, and not something that can be tweaked back into its old form. I do agree, though, i liked the old muesum better.
At least there are still SH3 museum and main menu backgrounds, as well as menu_1024_768Old.ini in SH4 source folders. I believe classic SH3 museum can be restored.
The first part of Sink them all 4.0 - all 6 IJN DDs will be ready for d/l soon.
Change Log:
-IJN Akitzuki along with Fubuki recived 610mm torpedo guads, the same as the rest of Japaneese special type destroyers.
-Fixed position and angle of main and torped turrets wherever needed
-Antisubmarine weapones are changed from K to YGuns. Number of ASW means increased to historically accurate 2 DCRacks and 2 YGuns.
-Each type recived 2 - 25-mm twins in 1941. Antiaicraft defence improves after they are replaced by 25-mm triples and additional 3x25 installed in 1942-43.
-Each type recived 4-12 additional 25-mm flak's from 19440701.

"Warships in Profile Volume 2" details the following mods to "Yukikaze":
First refit mid 1943- twin 25mm AA mounting placed forward of her bridge, twin 25mm AA mountings on either side of her aft funnel replaced by triple mountings.
Second refit late 1943- "X" twin 5" turret removed and two triple 25mm AA mountings fitted instead. Type 22 SW radar fitted to foremast, type 13 AW radar fitted to mainmast. New type of sonar also fitted.
Third refit July/August 1944- fourteen single 25mm AA mountings added.
December 1944- new type 3 sonar fitted.
It is Just ship names in cirillics. unfortunately there is no way to switch russian release into english to get it more authentic.
