Hello everyone.:D
I plan to activate some mods on my SH4 install and because I am new to this I need some advice.:-? I need to know which mod should be activated first, then second and so on. Here is what I plan to use:

If you have any other suggestion on what other mods could I use please advice.
I also need to mention that I played a patrol and now I am in port and I dont know if my savegame will work.

Thanks in advance

PS.
I hope I did right with my screenshot upload

Well, your saved game will likely not work, or will run the risk of not working, and most of the modders say to start over with a new campaign after installing their mods like RSRD, RFB, etc, so you'll probably want to forget about your saved game.

As far a the sequence goes, there are some you have that i am not familiar with, but if you only had the following, i would put them in this order:

1. TM 1.7.2

2. All ROW mods

3. RSRD_P2_TM_220

Say yes to all overwrites.

The slow smoke, warship textures, and foam_hotfix mods I think could be placed after the above without any adverse effects. I am not sure about the rest of your mods, but i have found that the last "texture only" based mods you install will overwrite and show up.

just my .02

good luck

EDIT: Oops, i guess my dyslexia kicked in. I have adjusted the above sequence to reflect Ducimus' suggestion.

i think your going to have a Menu.ini conflict with SCAF and the 'better scopes/chrono/Nomograph' as well as TM. all three of those change the menu.ini

I recently made a "classic better scopes/chrono/nomograph" combo mod that will work with SCAF menu.ini but i did it for the STOCK version of SCAF. plus i havent put it through its testing runs yet (wont be able to till i get home christmas eve from work).

Once i test it out i'll get in touch with Capt Scurvy and we'll figure out a release for the combo if its cool with him.

I think i may start using TM soon but its going to take me a few weeks.

I couldn't find mention of this in the readme for RSRD_P2_TM_220 but in the readme for the previous version, RSRD_P1_TM_118, Lurker states explicitly to install on top of TM 1.72

I've followed the same install order for Phase II:

1. TM 1.72
2. ROW mods
3. RSRD_P2_TM_220

Hasn't blown up on me yet..

Best,

RSRD indeed must be installed on top of TM. or in otherwords, Run TM first, then RSRD. This way, the RSRD files overwrite the TM files.

If you install it the other way, TM files will be ovewrtiing RSRD files, so changes in RSRD won't come into play.

I must say that at first I did not know how to take the screen shot :damn::damn::damn::damn:
:rotfl:
but a friend showed me how.
You hit PrtScrn on your keyboard to take a screen shot of wath you want then go to Start-All Programs-Accessories-Paint.
You open the "Paint" application-Edit-Select all-Right click-Paste and then save your screen shot.
This is how I did it but I believe there are some programs for taking screen shots.
I hope I explained properly, because I am supposed to be a Geography teacher.

Indeed there is a conflict with your mod an it seems that the Conversion Chart or the Pacific Map, I don't know which one is featured, doesn't show up, only the gramophone does, but the game doesn't crashes at all. I will do some testing to sort things out.

PS I love your mod, the immersion factor is awsome.
