I have been playing with commander, and it got me thinking... is it possible to have a mod thet records EVERYTHING done during a SH carreer.

By which i mean , if someone dies and reloads a previous save, the fact they died dissapears. Also would it be possible for this"mod" to record exactly their realisim settings as well as what mods are utilised.

If this were possible , the idea of a remote multiplayer comes to mind.
A leaderboard could be set up (even broken down into years) with the aces obviously being the tonnage kings.

Problem is .:shifty:HONOUR might not be enough so the mod would need to be enabled.
(The leaderboard can even reflect the "kings" (not lords:D) in different groups according to realisim settings. What do you guys think, it kinda caters for all?( difficulty levels) but adds a bit of competition.Has something like this been done? Can it be done?

I personally would find it strange that honour would not be enough. Perhaps you're playing with the wrong people then :p And what would you do if something went wrong and the game crashed?

It IS possible to record the in-game event logs (the text you see in the little window at the bottom), but I don't believe it's possible to keep track of things like the save function and so on. I guess there may be some programs that could keep track of everything your computer does and pick up on those things, but I'd NEVER voluntarily install one of those... the only word for that sort of app is "spyware" :dead:

This is probably a bit outside of "mod" territory. We need some real hackers here to pitch in on the possibility of this :p

I think it's probably possible and even simple, just physically "back up" carrer files at certain moment by copying them, and if someone made an external program to manage all those backups. You'll have to run the program every time you finish sh3, and run it before start sh3. Latter is no problem but if former to be automated the program has to know when sh3 ends so it's gatta be daemon which I'd hate.

It'll be like a version control program. I'm not perosnally very interested tho...
