Hello all, :|\\
It looks like I finally was able to download a version of GWX 2 that wasn't corrupted from FileFront.
A question please:
During the Torpedo training, I noticed that I could surface to 5 meters but not 2 or 1 meter. The reason for doing so was to blow away via deck gun, a merchant ship.
Is this a bug? or not? BTW, I didn't notice a deck gun for the torpedo training either! :hmm:

I think 5 metres is the normal depth reading for being surfaced, I can't recall it being any different. It is of course measured from the keel.

5 meters is fully surfaced, and, as was pointed out, depths are measured to the bottom of the keel.

yeah..i bet the depth is calibrated for the keel, so depth under keel is also accurate, it would be no fun to have a report saying there's 5 meters under keel and you going aground beacuse you don't know that your kell is 5M below
The above posts are all correct---depth is measured from the keel. As for your not having a deck gun in torpedo traning... well, of course not. It's torpedo training. Deck gun would be cheating.
If it's any consolation, you won't get any torpedos during deck gun training.
