Hello today I noticed something weird on one of my ships, some of the paint seems to flicker black and then back to the normal color. I have repainted the spots diffrent times and nothing worked. Can someone help me? heres some pictures.

Is this a ship you are working on or a GWX 2.0 ship?

OK.
If the object has a second object placed in the same area,
you will get a flicker as textures for both will "fight".
Are you working with a 3D program?

Just working on it with "Deep Paint". Its a ship skin from MadMax, i just improved it and was thinking of putting it up for download.

I see.
Deep Paint free version or Deep Paint 3d?
If you want to send me a link to D/L what your working on
I can look at it and advise you better.
Send it to my PM if you want.
May take a day or two.

Privateer:
Same happens to me with some skins I did, specially in the internal part of the connig tower, where you see wood. Why? I don't know :damn:
All I did was to repaint... :o

Just a quick thought on the conning tower thing.
I don't do much on subs yet but.
Parts seem to do a close overlap.
Some colors hide others in those cases?
Not sure.
I do know that what We think is a simple thing
sometimes turns out to be a complex issue
that takes days, if not weeks to figure out!!
GWX 2.0 is a perfect example!!
What you see appears simple on the surface.
But for every simple change that was made,
glareing problems popped up!!!
Some of the problems took a month or so to figure out!

Thanks for your answer, Privateer.
I will have to do more research about it... :hmm: :shifty:

@Miner1436
Right off the bat I found an illegal call in the dat file.
:nope:
I'll see what's needed to correct it.

Whats an illegal call?

An illegal call means:
You can't do that, it don't work!
If all you did was skin work, it's not your mistake.
I know what was done and why,
but it doesn't work the way someone expected.
Believe me.
I went through nearly 200 ships correcting stuff like this!!!
It's a simple misunderstanding of how things work,
then hexing in the wrong stuff.
Damage model (or other) should coincide with the main model absolutely ...
