Have a question for the GWX building shipyard!

If there is ship files that include
Library Data files will that be a problem ?

Everyship brings a Data file inside the ships folder
on the Sea folder, but some bring extra Data files for
the Library Folder like for example the SalvageTugboat_MOD
from Nautilus 42...

Are this files dangerouse for GWX 2 to run ?:hmm:

No worries.

BBW is chief of shipping for GWX 2.0.

He is currently reformatting his PC and will be back online soon.

In case Nautilus 42 doesn't see this himself, then for this mod it adds objects to the ships included in this mod, and if these files don't exist allready in your installation (GWX, WAC, NYGM or whatever), it's safe to run. The Library files in Nautilus' mods are usually files needed from SH4, which only few mods include.

@JCWolf

The additional dats USUALLY don't cause much trouble.
If you give me a link to the D/L for this unit I can check it
and verify.

We took several of the Bootsman dats,
dropped the unused stuff,
and combined them into one dat for speed of loading.

Same with several other dats that came with different ships.
I corrected and remove things and rolled them into one dat.

Thanks Privateer,

Let me tell you first what happend with the test I've made,

I took of the Nautilus Tug boats just in case to make this test ...

I add all AOTD-Max ships released in his thread !

Updated the eng / Ger names Cfg's acordingly,
and when tested it I add imediate CTD on the Loading screen !

The only Data files I add were from the ships folder
that goes inside the Sea folder no data files more at all !:hmm:

JCWolf, the only safe way to test new units/objects etc... is to do so one at a time.

Testing that way will narrow the problem for you.

Moin JCWolf,

I assume you´re referring to the museum or mission loading screen? Missing *.dat files from the data/Library folder do not cause CTD. Try to run your test once more using non altered *.cfg files. If there are some roster files calling for ships that are not present, they will cause CTD as well. If this not the reason, there may still be CTD due to duplicate IDs.

DD

JC,
as Kpt. stated, ALWAYS add things one at a time.
That way you find the trouble maker right off.

If you can isolate the problem somewhat,
I'll be happy to help correct it.

If you have seen this problem, more will in the comeing days.
