Oh, it was just disgusting!

I came across a convoy of about 13 small-medium merchants defended by 2 destroyers and an S-class sub bringing up the rear heading ENE into the western approaches. This was about 2200 with a light chop and no moon. Type IXB.

Took out the defenders with eels. With no defenders and no opposing guns...the boys moved some lawn chairs topside to watch the firworks and to critique the moment. Started the carnage on the merchants with remaining eels surface fired and then finished them off and took out more with the deck gun. By the time it was over, only three mercs made it out untouched, and three badly crippled, but still floating and I'm out of firepower! 10 merchants, three warships. Bad night for the British. Great night for the U-124! A total of 13 out of the convoy, and three other mercs early in the patrol...total tonnage ... just shy of 57000. :smug:

I just hate it when things go right!

Warhawk...if you read this...have you made it out of your home port yet?? Or are you kinda sitting on the bottom of your mooring and waiting for the "right" moment?!
