Hey guys , Where can I find the file that tells the game which file to use for which effect?

What I am trying to do is first change the file association so the shell impact does not look like the deck gun firing. And by doing this hopefully, my ultimate plan is to make a realistic gun mod.

Anyone with info???

Try the particles.dat file. Use the S3D mod tool. You can customize the effects to whatever you want. ;)

Hehe:p I had the S3D tool all along, man I think i bit off way more then I can chew (looking at that file):damn:

So.................is there a guide out there for dummies????????????

Hehe. Welcome to the frustrating world of modding SH3 and SH4. :doh: You'll have to experiment. Try one of the explosion sections in the particles .dat file. It's all trial and error.
