DDS Converter problems

Hi, I have tried a psd file & tga file to convert to dds format, however all I get is the Error: file is not a power of 2, Conversion has failed, any advise appreciated.:yep:

Which programs are you using ?

I use photoshop with DDS plugin
And DXTbmp (freeware)

This version is a stand alone dds converter by NVDrifter.:yep: If I have no joy I will have to download the PS plugin as you suggest, thanks.

I tried another converter, the original NSS_Balao_shp.dds is only 4.2kb in size, the tga file I have is 4.5mb in size & if I convert the size ends up 77mb!:88):stare:
What did I do wrong??:x

Something went wrong with the compression

Paint.net it opens them directly, no more converter. And it's free.
