Kpt. said it will be released Dec 5th HIS time. So, if it is released tomorrow morning at 5AM my time (GMT+2), it's still Dec 5 in Texas. ;) Few hours wont hurt anyone, besides, after you've read it, you start to wait even more for the 2.0, so enjoy the "not so horrible need for 2.0" feeling you have now, after reading the manual, that feeling is replaced by the "ZOMG! I cant wait any longer!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAARGGHH!!!" feeling. :p

Er, I'm not the 'Boss' [had a terrible vision of waking up in the morning with a horses head for company gulp !]

@Friedl9te, to reinforce what I posted earlier, there are time zones involved here so it will inevitably spill over 2 days depending where you're at ?! No dishonesty intended here.

Oh please these things take time and the day is far from over
maybe getting home from work safely taking the dog out
and saying hello to the Wife SHOULD take priority or we would
all be losing perspective.

its just a game
and come to think of it its not even that
its just a manual.

Precisely Martin :yep:

Keeping the correct perspective is the most important thing right at this time....and secondly....reading it in preparation for the release is also of vital importance

Agreed. All good things come to those that wait! And I will be patient.....:damn:

As I recall, the GWX team said that it would be posted for download on Dec 5th US Central Standard Time (approx GMT - 6hrs) and currently it is 1100hrs CST - which is 1800hrs (6pm) Dec 5th in Berlin and it is already 0400hrs tomorrow (Dec 6th) in Sydney, Australia. The world is a big place! I am sure everyone read Dec 5th as being Dec 5th where they are and as long as it is Dec 5th where the person who uploads the manual is then that is all that matters!

The escort carriers, Fletcher-class destroyer, and Evarts-class destroyer escorts were not listed in V2.0 since they are using pretty much the same models they used in stock Silent Hunter III. I was unable to find them in prior versions of the GWX Manual.

All the changes (well, the ones we remembered to write down) are listed in the GWX Change Log in the manual

From another thread:

The manual will be constantly updated, so it's up to you really.

For example, the manual in the final GWX 2.0 release will be v2.03, whereas the versions you are able to get now are v2.04. The version changed in about 24hrs.

Regardless what you choose to do, the versions that are available from the GWX Website will be the most current ones.

 Your choice.

Hey :)

It says in the manual that: If you are using any fatigue model except "No fatigue" make sure that you :

* always use time compression higher then 64x.
* Never enter the crew managent screen under TFC since it resets time compression.

Umm.. I'm confused here..
what happens if i run the game lower then 64x compression?

Using less than 64 TC will cause your crew to fatigue/tire. Tc'ing above that and the functionality of fatigue is disabled.

Primarily, this instruction is for long distance patrols.

We'll clarify that in the next edition as follows:
D. If you are using any fatigue model except "No fatigue" and want to minimize the amount of time you spend managing fatigue, make sure that you:
use time compression (TC) set to 64x or higher as much as possible
Reset TC to 64x or higher after entering the crew management screen (F7), since entering this screen resets time compression to 32x unless you have specifically modified this value using SH3 Commander
Thank you for asking - good question! :)
