Changing realism options

Is there any chance that we can alter silent hunter 3's realism options while on patrol?. If we can't - maybe is there a mod that could be developed?.

a bit of an odd need ...........

try saving it and resetting before loading
other than that theres a way to alter it in the save
file I think with a text editor like wordpad or notepad

under my docs/ sh3 /data /cfg /gameplay settings.
