Tuesday lunchtime....TDK informs me that 1.4 is about to be released. I ask him what drugs he's taking and can I have some.

Tuesday afternoon....1.4 is released. S**t....more humble pie to eat. No time now though, I have to download the patch and then moan about how much I hate modding. I wonder if they'll buy it?

Tuesday night....Testing the patch. More moaning about modding. Go to subsim and tell them to be patient and that I hate modding. More testing. More moaning. I don't think they're buying it. I need a new plan.

Wednesday morning....Not much sleep. I hate modding. More moaning. Can I get out of work today? Nope. oh, well. Are they buying it yet?

Wednesday evening....Lots to do with TM 1.7. Great fun...but wait, I hate modding. Must post stickies all over the house to remind me of that. Nobody will buy it if even I don't. Now, where was I? Oh, yes, PC, pizza, beer. Testing and tweaking. Wait, one of my stickies just fell off the fridge. Maybe I could mod the fridge to accept my stickies. Shouldn't be too difficult. I'm not sure the fan is rotating in the right direction either. I'll mod that. Tired now. Off to bed.

Thursday morning......Discovered that TDK had posted about my desire to mod my fridge and fan. Those bas***ds at subsim must have bugged my house. Well it won't get them TM 1.7 any faster.....better hide my copy of U-571 though. I'll stick to my tactics...mod and moan....mod and moan....it's worked for years. Then I'll hit them with "SOON"....see how they like them apples. That reminds me, I have apples in my modded fridge and I'm hungry.

As i read the reaction's of all the modders here as a result of the release of the new patch another question should rise:

-are these patches a conspiracy of the dev's to drive the modders to the edge of insanity?
Maybe they are a bit jealous of the great job they do;)

A joke offcourse, both groups deserve our gratitude for giving us a fantastic game(but especcialy the modders because they do all that great work for free, without being paid for it, respect!)

Just went over the zones.cfg file again, and merged in all the ROW special effects. Just tested it on a few cargo's so far, looks like its working ;)

I know this feeling, I've been working on my new manual untill 2.30 AM last night.
I was just telling my self one more.. then uhh one more.. and then it is suddenly early morning (on a new 8.30-17.00 working day).

Also the in bed stories sounds familiar.. When I lay down.. I am always going thru the changes I made in my head, thinking what I could have done better :D

Heh...just the other day I was puzzling over how the heck Min/Max Elevation works in sensors, with regards to axis and orientation. Must've been mulling over it for hours. When I finally caved and crashed on my bed at 3:00am, I couldn't get it out of my mind, until out of the blue *lightbulb!* it suddenly became crystal clear to me! The mind works in mysterious ways...

Seeing how I hate modding too - I will be releasing the UPS X-mas mod shortly. This Mod will do absolutely nothing to SH4 - but will insure that any package you send for the holidays thru the United Parcel Smashers will indeed be bent, crushed or mutilated as appropriate.

To all of you who have been unwittingly testing this mod recently, thank you for your assistance. It has contributed to the quality of destruction possible this holiday season....

I worked for UPS, for two weeks as a loader (the package mutilator who's acutally up in the trailer) when i got out of the service.

. Took me two weeks to figure out that
a.) I was overqualified for the job
b.) Im too old for that crap.
