There are so many mods at this forum how does one know what is what ? Can we get it condensed and made simple for newbies ?

That is a good link that FF posted :yep:. Most threads have a good explanation on what the mod does, changes.
Using the link above, the search function and asking question are your best bets here. Also after you been here for awhile, you'll learn how to navigate around this place, including the mods section.

Keep an eye on the stickied major mods in the works. Trigger Maru/TM (playability mod), Real Fleet Boat/RFB(playability mod), Run Silent Run Deep/RSRD(historical shipping and campaigns) and Reflections on the Water/ROW (environment mod..sun, water, sky improvments). These are your major mods and they are growing. Yes, it is confusing but the mods keep growing and changing every minute:rock:. Currently, I have download ROW and then got the download for RFB for ROW/RSRD. This is a combined package of the three major mods. Trigger Maru is also going in the direction from the looks of it.

If this looks like the way you want to go. Go get the ROW files and RSRD. Then download RFB from the link above. Use the mod enable program, load them up and happy sailings.
All good information gentlemen but.....
As you all know some mods screem duplicate or same by jsgme. At these places are the mod conflicts discussed.. I bet not. That is why I am asking. You can't just load mods willy nilly and hope for the best. Or can you ??

See if I can explain this some.

On this link you can see a category ‘Large Mod Packs’ If you want you can use anyone of these packs (but only one at a time), they are a super mods as called by some and usually incorporate other smaller mods. They also have certain modifications of their own by the creator. Your taste will have to decide.
Then you have ROW ‘reflections on the water’ that can be installed along with one of the above to enhance the games graphics.
RSRD ‘run silent run deep’ is a work in progress of a total rewrite of the campaign.
Other individual mods will include graphics changes, maybe some small tweaks or fixes, or sound improvements.
To sum it up, if you install one of the large mod packs and ROW with JGSME then any other mod you install that prompts you is already in the pack or is in conflict with the mod.

How do i make the external camera work in trigger maru?? I have tried options with the external camera checked and not checked neither way works:damn: ..If it means that i should work on a file PLEASE tell me which one and what to do to it...

External camera is still activated in TM 1.7.6, but without the cycle ship/target option. Are you using TM OH?
