well, aparently, some type II boats were moved by rail to the black sea to shoot at the Russians... so could we maybe add a black sea and or make ships to shoot at in it??

or is that hard coded as well lol

You don't have to wait for GWX2.0 to got hunting in the Black Sea!:arrgh!:

Black Sea ports are already in GWX 1.03 and IIRC was in TGW1.1

I think there'd be a helluva lot of files to put in there gimpy... you've got all the different types of units, all the radio reports, then the different layers, the other ports around the black sea, the patrol routes and patterns......

Even after all that would the hodge-podge of half-stock and half-GWX even run? I doubt it, but then im hardly qualified to say for sure..

Thank you baggygreen. I couldn't think of a way to say exactly that without getting overly technical.

In building operational areas for GWX that lay outside the KM grid system in SH3, we dealt with a boatload of trouble... even the land units had to be cloned and added back in as they caused save-game reload CTD's.

There was a "stock" variant of the files in question AGES ago... but they did not address game-killing issues.

So in short... the answer to gimpy117's question is simply "no." Too much work to separate those files out, add the player U-boat base, campaign traffic, additional nations, and etc etc etc etc etc.

To start with, there is some traffic in the Black Sea in the stock campaign but not much.

eweber created a number of mission for the 30th flotilla in the Black Sea for stock SH3. Take a look here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=86341&highlight=Black
I did not notice any game-killing issues when played them.

If you do not want to use big mods, the last version of U-boat War Ace 2 (do not mix up with WAC) should have some Black Sea operations if I remember correctly. It is relatively small download and can be still found on my SH3 web site. Again I do not remember (did not play or pay attention to SH3 lately), if the download is a complete package or you would need to download some extra mods from the same page. It should say in Readme.
